Natalie Filipiak holds a master’s degree in Art History with an emphasis on film history and aesthetics. She studied at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Stockholm University and Goethe-University Frankfurt. She joined Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum (DFF) in 2017 as an intern at filmportal.de, the institute’s central internet platform on German cinema. Immediately after her internship she joined the project on the exchange of filmographic data between the Federal Archive (Bundesarchiv) and the DFF (2017–2020) as a filmography editor. Since September 2019 she has been working as a filmography editor for filmportal.de and also has been responsible for the integration of filmographic data from the Cinematography of the Holocaust (CDH) into filmportal’s filmographic database.
