A requirements elicitation of metadata standards and schemas is the aim of this workshop creating the basis for deliverable D4.2 Metadata Integration Concept.
VHH Team Members and experienced cataloguers meet for two days in Frankfurt to discuss and develop a metadata strategy for the VHH project. The topics addressed on the first day are the types of digital media assets collected and generated in VHH, existing metadata standards and models (EN 15907 and EFG in particular), the role of authority files and controlled vocabularies, time-based annotation, and multilinguality. On the second day the focus lies on filmographic metadata (the Cinematography of the Holocaust in particular) and on the discussion of workflows for the exchange of metadata. This workshop is held in German.
