The “Visual History of the Holocaust” project intends to combine cultural and digital curation techniques in order to access historical film footage from Nazi atrocities and the liberation, and connect these images to other visual content, testimonies, documents and even popular culture representations. The project’s basic principle is connectivity, establishing relations between fragmented segments by the help of annotation. Tobias Ebbrecht-Hartmann’s presentation presentation outlines digital curation techniques that foster engagement with the visual fragments from the past.
