Julia Marie Wittorf, born 1993, is a master’s student at the DAAD Center for German Studies at the European Forum of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Her B.A. thesis focused on the German domestic security agency’s information politics regarding the threat of right-wing terrorism. Previously, she was a student trainee at the Coalition for Action against Violence, Right-wing Extremism and Xenophobia (ABB e.V.) in Potsdam, where she supported the development of an online “stumbling block database” for the state of Brandenburg. She has been collaborating with organizations such as the Association of Counseling Centers for Victims of Right-wing, Racist and Anti-Semitic Violence (VBRG e.V.) in Berlin and the Emil Julius Gumbel Research Center for Anti-Semitic and Right-Wing Extremism at the Moses Mendelssohn Center (MMZ) in Potsdam. Julia Marie Wittorf’s areas of interest include right-wing extremism and terrorism studies, national security, media and gender studies.
